City Based Providers

City-based programs are provided by the following Contra Costa County cities: Concord; El Cerrito; Lafayette; Orinda; Pleasant Hill; Richmond; San Pablo; San Ramon; and Walnut Creek. All of the city-based programs provide door to door or curb to curb service. They are designed to add another level of service available to older adults or disabled residents in the city.

 



 
Eligibility:

Concord residents only, 65+, mobility device must be folded in the trunk of vehicle. (Complete and submit the GoGo Concord application (Photo ID is required for validation of birthday and residency)


Service Area:

Concord, Clayton, Martinez, Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek.


Hours of Operation:

24 hours; 7 days a week


Application:

Applications are available at the front desk in the Concord Senior Center. Bring photo ID to verify your age and address. Once you are approved, you may purchase an e-script.


Fees:

Subject to change. A $15 e-script purchase is matched with a script value of $30. Registered seniors may purchase a maximum of $30 e-script per month.

 
Eligibility:

Must be a resident of El Cerrito. El Cerrito Easy Ride services are available to persons with a disability who are 18 and over. Older adults who are 65 or more are also eligible.


Service Area:

El Cerrito city limits only.
Hours of Operation:

Mon - Thurs: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Fri: 9:00 am -3:30 pm


Reservations may be made up to two weeks in advance between 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. A same day ride may be scheduled between 8:30 am - 9:30 am, if space is available.


Application:

Applications available at Open House Senior Center, 6500 Stockton Avenue, El Cerrito.


Fees:

Subject to change. $2 per one-way ride. Tickets are sold only in books of ten, $20 per book, at the Open House Senior Center.

 
Eligibility:

Residents of Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda—Age 60 and up.


Service Area:

Destinations within Lamorinda as well as to Concord, Martinez, Pleasant Hill, and Walnut Creek.


Hours of Operation:

Weekdays: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm./P>

Application:

Registration form should be mailed to Lamorinda Spirit Van Program, Lafayette Community Center, 500 St. Mary’s Road, Lafayette, CA 94549.


Fees:

Subject to Change. Rides to errands and appointments are currently $5.00 one-way, $10.00 round-trip for destinations within Lamorinda and $10.00 one-way, $20.00 round-trip for destinations outside of Lamorinda. Rides for low-income residents are $5.00 one-way and $10.00 round-trip to destinations within Lamorinda as well as to Concord, Martinez, Pleasant Hill, and Walnut Creek. Rides to the Café Costa are $2.50 one-way, $5.00 round-trip. Call when you make your appointment or at least two business days ahead of time by 1:00 p.m. to schedule your ride. We love to say, “Yes!” so advance notice is helpful. Rides are available to: errands, medical/personal appointments, shopping, workshops, social visits, and the Walnut Creek Café Costa.

Lamorinda Spirit Van
 
Eligibility:

Riders must be Orinda residents aged 65 or older or if less than 65 must have medical condition that limits their driving. We accommodate canes, walkers but no wheelchairs.


Service Area:

Lamorinda, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Concord, Martinez, Alamo, Berkeley, and Oakland.


Service:

Free, door to door transportation provided by registered volunteers using their own cars

Eligibility:

Resident of Pleasant Hill and at least 55 years of age.


Service Area:

Pleasant Hill, Concord, Martinez, and Walnut Creek. Call for service days and hours of operation.

Monday — Friday: 9:00 am - 11:00 am; please call one business day in advance


Application:

Anyone wishing to use the van service must first register. Forms are available at City Hall, 100 Gregory Lane, Pleasant Hill or by calling (925)671-5272. Please allow up to 1 week for the application to be received and reviewed; a welcome letter will be sent once the application has been approved.


Fees:

Subject to change. $1.50 each way. There is no charge for service animals.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the residency and age or disability requirements:

1. Residency Requirement: Applicant must reside in Richmond, the unincorporated areas of East Richmond Heights, El Sobrante, Kensington, North Richmond, Hasford Heights, and Rollingwood.

2. Age OR Disability: Seniors (age 55 or older) who meet the residency requirement qualify for service. Applicants between ages of 18-54 must provide proof of disability.


Service Area:

Richmond, El Cerrito, El Sobrante, Kensington, North Richmond, San Pablo, as well as unincorporated communities of Bayview-Montalvin, East Richmond Heights, Hasford Heights, Rollingwood, and Tara Hills. Service is available as far north as Pinole and as far south as El Cerrito.

Paratransit door-to-door van service or curb to curb services partnership with Lyft (RAPID).

R-Transit
 

Rossmoor Walnut Creek is a senior adult community located in the Tice Valley area of Walnut Creek, The community is gated and has a population close to 10,000.

Rossmoor Transportation provides transportation to residents with fixed route bus service, dial-a-ride service, and paratransit within the community. One of the fixed routes serves BART and downtown Walnut Creek. This line will provide transportation to non-Rossmoor residents along its route. Rossmoor Transportation offers residents training to use their services.

 
Eligibility:

Residents of Lafayette only—Age 70 and up.


Service Area:

Any area serviced by Uber or Lyft.


Hours of Operation:

24 hours a day, 7 days a week.


Application:

To register call (925) 283-3534, weekdays 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm.


Fees:

Subject to Change. Registered clients must call GoGoGrandparent at 1-855-464 6872 to schedule a ride with Uber or Lyft and access the currently available ride subsidy of 50% of the cost of rides up to $50 a month.

Lamorinda Spirit Van
 
Eligibility:

Eligibility is divided into resident and non-resident depending upon applicant’s address within San Pablo’s jurisdiction. Must be 50 years or older; or be a person with a disability age 18+. (We require doctor’s note certifying your disability).


Service Area:

San Pablo and surrounding areas, limited locations such as Kaiser in Richmond and Kaiser in Pinole.

Shuttle Service:

Office Hours:
Weekdays: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm


Application:

An application must be completed. New applications require a government issued ID or a photo ID with utility bill to verify residency.


Fees:

FFees are subject to change. Resident fees are $2 per ride and $4 round trip; non-residents fee is $4 per ride and $8 round trip. Riders can purchase a book of tickets from the San Pablo Senior Center (1943 Church Lane). Resident book cost is $20; non-resident book is $40. They can be purchased by check or cash.

Eligibility:

Resident of San Ramon who are 55+


Service Area:

From San Ramon resident's home to the Alcosta Senior Center


Hours of Operation:

For Senior Center service, the van leaves the Senior Center at 8:30 am to begin pickup service (Monday - Friday).

Eligibility:

Must be a transportation member or Walnut Creek Senior Club member; be a Walnut Creek resident; be 60+ years of age and/or have a disability/health related condition that prevents the individual from using regular transportation.


Service Area:

Walnut Creek City and additional areas depending on programs.

To schedule for mini-bus call 925-256-3533 between 9:00 am and 10:00 am two business days in advance.
For Lyft reservations please call 925-256-3533 between 9:00 am and 10:00 am .
